Girls Wanted for the 2027 Football Season
Canning City Football Club is now inviting expressions of interest from girls who would like to play football during the 2027 season.
Whether you are an experienced player, thinking about changing clubs or have never played football before, you will be welcomed and supported by our growing girls’ program.
We are looking for girls born between 2011 and 2015 to help us form teams across the junior age groups for the 2027 season.

At Canning City FC, football is about more than what happens on the pitch. We want every player to feel supported, build confidence and enjoy being part of a team.
Our girls’ program provides opportunities to:
- Develop football skills through regular training and matches
- Build confidence in a positive and encouraging environment
- Make new friends and become part of a supportive team
- Learn from experienced and committed coaches
- Progress through the junior age groups towards senior women’s football
- Enjoy football without the pressure of an elite development program
Players of all experience levels are welcome. You do not need to have played club football before to register your interest.
A Growing Girls’ Football Program
Canning City FC is committed to creating more opportunities for girls and women to participate in football.
After beginning 2026 with only a small number of junior girls, we successfully established teams competing in the Football West Junior Community Leagues. We are now building on that progress and working towards having girls’ teams across more age groups in 2027.
The club has also achieved 1 Star status through Football Australia’s Club Changer program, recognising our commitment to the development of women and girls in football.
Our long-term goal is to provide a clear and supportive pathway that allows girls to begin playing at Canning City, progress through the junior age groups and continue into our senior women’s team.
What Players Can Expect
Our junior girls can expect:
- Training at Willetton Reserve
- Regular midweek training sessions
- Sunday matches during the winter season
- Participation in the Football West Junior Community Leagues
- Supportive coaches focused on development and enjoyment
- Opportunities to continue playing and training outside the winter season
- A welcoming club community involving players, families and volunteers
Register Your Interest for 2027
Expressions of interest are now open for girls born from 2011 to 2015.
Registering your interest does not lock you into playing. It simply helps us understand player numbers, plan our teams and keep families informed about preseason training, registration and upcoming opportunities.
