During our 50th Anniversary celebrations, we had the incredible opportunity to reconnect with one of our earliest players, Philip Claxton (check out our 50th Anniversary page for more details). And guess what? We recently had the pleasure of hosting Philip and his son on a special visit to Perth, where we showcased our amazing venues!

The club started in 1972 as Canning Corinthians Soccer Club , with a donation from Corinthian Doors, or so the story goes.
The name was changed in the 90’s to Canning Cosmos after an edict from the then soccer governing body, and later to Canning City Soccer Club.
Our final change to Canning City Football Club was to reflect the growth in the sport in Australia of the world game.
To share experiences at the club we invite past and present participants to send in their memories and pictures to ccfc50memories@canningcityfc.org.au so others are able to view the club’s history.

We have over 40 Junior teams covering all age groups from 5 to 18, including a 16 year girls team. This provides opportunities for all ages and abilities with a focus on participation and fostering a fit and healthy lifestyle and a love for football. Our juniors can continue playing into their adult years no matter what their level of playing ability as we endeavour to find a spot for every member through our state league, amateurs, socials, womens and masters sides. We have some of the best training and playing facilities in the metro area at the newly floodlit Willetton Reserve and Burrendah Park from where we also host several annual sporting and awards events.
