Canning City FC’s vision for 2027 to 2030
From First Touch to First Team.
Canning City FC has a plan for the years ahead: to make the club a place where people can enjoy football, improve and feel part of the team for years to come.
The idea is simple. A child might join for their first game of football, grow through the junior teams and one day play senior football. Others might play for fun, coach, volunteer or support from the sidelines. There should be a place for all of them at Canning City.
A Clearer Path for Players
The plan connects football across the club, from MiniRoos and junior teams through to senior women’s and men’s football. As players grow, they should be able to see what opportunities come next and get the support that suits their age and goals.
That includes growing the girls’ football program and creating more opportunities for girls to progress into senior women’s football. We also want to help young players who aspire to play senior men’s football take that step when they’re ready. And if they’d rather keep playing at a more relaxed level, they’ll still have a place at Canning City.
More Support for Coaches
Good coaching makes football more enjoyable for everyone. The club plans to give coaches clearer guidance, useful training resources and opportunities to learn from each other. Players should benefit from coaching that helps them build skills and confidence as they move through the age groups.
One Club, On and Off the Pitch
The plan is about more than match results. Canning City wants every player to feel welcome and have a chance to develop, whether they play for fun or hope to compete at a higher level.
It also sets out the values we want to see across the club: pride, passion, commitment and character. They apply to players, coaches, parents and volunteers alike.
This will take time, and the work starts with putting the right coaching and player support in place. As the plan develops, the goal is for more people to find their place at Canning City and want to stay involved.
We’re excited about where the club can go. From a player’s first touch of the ball to their first senior game, we want Canning City FC to be a club they’re proud to call home.
